The Florida Educational Interpreter Evaluation (EIE) is a diagnostic test and includes a written exam, an interview process and a performance skill evaluation. The EIE has the following 3 levels:
EIE Level 1: Denotes that an interpreter has an entry level ability, received and expressed 60% of the material presented during the Evaluation. An interpreter at this level should be able to completely handle situations in which there is an opportunity to stop the student or professional for clarification or repetition.
